Medical consultations are all with Dr. Sarah Cahill, who is committed to providing expert, compassionate care in a supportive and confidential environment. Dr Cahill has a diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Symptoms and Conditions We Manage
At our clinic in Salthill, Galway, we can investigate and manage a variety of symptoms, such as:

Menorrhagia (Heavy Periods): Help with managing heavy periods and investigating possible underlying causes.

Dysmenorrhoea (Painful Periods): We offer treatment and advice to help pain and discomfort, as well as exploring reasons for pain.

Irregular Periods: Help with assessing causes and advice on management strategies.

Bleeding After Intercourse or Between Periods: Diagnosing and managing underlying causes.

Bleeding after menopause: New bleeding when periods have been stopped for a year over age 50, or 2 years under age 50.

Difficulty becoming pregnant: If you are trying to conceive and it's not happening after a year of trying (6 months if age 35 or over), or even if you would like to have a health check-up before starting to try.
If you have been diagnosed with, or suspect you might be suffering with, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), fibroids, endometriosis, adenomyosis, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary tract infection, urinary incontinence we can help.​

​At times it may be necessary to conduct an internal examination as part of your consultation. If it makes you feel more comfortable, patients are welcome to bring a chaperone such as a friend or family member to be present during intimate exams.
Additionally, from time-to-time patients may be required to have blood tests; be referred for further investigations such as a pelvic ultrasound; or be referred to specialists such as gynaecologists, endocrinologists, or pelvic health physiotherapists.
If this is needed, your doctor will fully explain the procedure and reasons during the course of your consultation.
