General Statement
LifeCycle Women’s Health Clinic fully respects your right to privacy and will not collect or publish any personal information about you through the website without your clear permission. Any personal information which you volunteer will be treated with the highest standards of security and confidentiality, strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Acts, 2018.
Collection and use of personal information
LifeCycle Women’s Health Clinic does not collect any personal data about you on our website apart from information which you volunteer (for example by emailing or phoning us, by making an account and/or a booking). Any information which you provide in this way is not made available to any third parties without your consent and is used by us only in line with the purpose for which you provided it. The only time it will be shared with third parties is in the context of sending samples to the lab for analysis, sending a prescription to a pharmacy, referring you for an investigation such as an ultrasound or MRI, referring you to a specialist, or writing to your GP regarding your care. In these cases, we share only relevant and necessary information such as your demographics (name, DOB, address, phone number, email) and relevant medical history. These are always done with your express consent, in advance.
Communication with patients
How we communicate with you will be dictated by your preferences. Our policy is to send emails and text message to confirm, reschedule, or cancel a booking. You may opt-in to receive these at the time of making an account or booking a consultation. If we need to communicate with you after your consultation (for example to communicate a test result), it may be via phone call, email or text message, and that will be established during your consultation.
Collection and use of technical information
Technical details in connection with visits to our website are logged by our internet service provider for our statistical purposes. No information is collected that could be used by us to personally identify website visitors. The technical details logged are confined to Google Analytics which shows the traffic of visitors around this web site (for example pages accessed and documents downloaded).
LifeCycle Women’s Health Clinic will make no attempt to identify individual visitors, or to associate the technical details listed above with any individual. You should note that technical details, which we cannot associate with any identifiable individual, do not constitute "personal data" for the purposes of the Data Protection Acts, 2018.
Storage of data
Your data is stored on a secure computer at the premises of the business. It is stored in a secure, cloud-based software designed for the purposes of medical clinics. It is our policy not to keep your data on paper in the clinic. Any letters we receive with your information are scanned to your file and shredded.
