Service Description

If you have vulaval or vaginal symptoms such as discharge, itch, an unusual odour, urinary symptoms or painful intercourse, you will be examined and the appropriate investigations carried out and treatment supplied. This may include blood tests for HIV, Hepatitis B and Syphilis, (and Hepatitis C if at risk), a vaginal swab for chlamydia, gonorrhoea and trichomonas, a swab for herpes, a vaginal swab for thrush or bacterial vaginosis, a urine sample to test for a urinary tract infection. Sometimes referral to gynaecology or the hospital-based STI clinic will be required. Price may vary according to testing required.
